• 10/10/2023 - Single Vehicle Crash with Injuries

  On Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, at approximately 9:26 AM, the Portage County Communications Center received a report of a vehicular crash on Interstate 39 in the Town of Pine Grove in southern Portage County. The crash was reported to involve a single passenger car that left the road and rolled over. One of the occupants was reported to have been ejected during the crash. • 10/02/2023 - UPDATE - Fatal Traffic Crash

  On Friday, September 29, 2023, at approximately 11:20 pm, Portage County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the area of CTH W, between 1st Street and CTH BB, in the Town of Almond for a report of a motorcycle vs. deer crash. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a Harley Davidson motorcycle on its side in the eastbound lane. Deputies located the operator approximately 100ft east of the motorcycle in the westbound lane. The operator and lone occupant of the motorcycle, a 46 year old male from the Town of Pine Grove, died as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash..(READ ON FOR MORE)

  In accordance with WI State Statute 301.46(2m), we have decided to have a meeting to share information about Mr. Anderson. Mr. Anderson was committed under Chapter 980 Sexually Violent Persons Law. The Court ordered a Supervised Release Plan be developed for Mr. Anderson. On 09-05-2023, a hearing was held and the Court approved the Supervised Release Plan.
