Justice Coalition
Mission, Purpose & Goals
The Portage County Justice Coalition is an advisory body with the charter to achieve justice for the community, victims, and offenders, through effective and appropriate responses to crime and its prevention. Decision-making in the coalition is based on collaboration, cooperation, objective data, and proper stewardship of resources. Goals include improving the functioning of the courts and the judicial system by providing increased access for citizens to the courts, creating and revising effective civil and criminal processes and procedures, and improving communications and coordination between the courts and affiliated departments and agencies.
