Portage County Ambulance Service

Portage County is proud to provide quality Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to its citizens and visitors. A county-wide ambulance network has been established using high-quality paramedic-level agencies that work hand-in-hand with our emergency medical responder agencies.

Contracted Ambulance Providers:

• Stevens Point Fire Department
• Amherst Fire District
• Plover Fire Department.

These ambulance services provide coverage across all of Portage County. The Town of Grant has chosen to contract on its own with United Emergency Medical Response out of the Town of Grand Rapids.
